Our Story
The story begins with a name.
“Run” (潤) is the name of our chef, but also a way of life. It represents gentleness, nourishment, and quiet companionship—like rain, silent yet profound.
“Rain” was inspired by Du Fu’s poem A Spring Night’s Delightful Rain.
The spring rain falls softly, without boast or noise, yet it awakens all life upon the earth. This poetic spirit is at the heart of Rain Kitchen.
At Rain Kitchen, we believe a dish is more than food—it is comfort for the soul.
Hainanese chicken rice embodies this philosophy. Fragrant rice cooked in chicken broth, each grain glistening with flavor; tender chicken, silky and warm with time and care. Paired with the trio of sauces—fiery chili, refreshing ginger, and deep soy—it becomes a dish that is simple yet endlessly meaningful, much like life itself.
